The
“Acornoque” house is designed in a modern style by the architect
Kasia Sierszenska.
The
house, fully renovated in 2013, is designed to host up to three
people, although a 4th person could be easily accommodated in a
built-in folding bed. The living room is very sunny and has large
windows with views to the surrounding landscape and with the Strait
of Gibraltar and Morocco in the background.
The same scenery can be
contemplated from the main bedroom in the second floor.
A study room
in the opposite part of the cottage provides working space and
includes individual beds for the 3rd and eventually 4th person.
A
large kitchen, which is well-equipped and can also serve as dining
room, and a stylish bathroom make up the rest of the house.
The
cottage is part of a 2,000m2 private parcel dotted by fruit trees to
which our guests have access. The facilities include a swimming pond
with deck chairs to cool down and sunbathe.
Guests have also
exclusive access to two terraces. The larger one is ideal to lounge
in the evening enjoying the sunset with a drink while the smaller one
could serve as an alternative space to have breakfast or lunch
outdoors.
The fireplace in the living room, in addition to amenities
such as wireless internet and satellite TV, ensure that the guests
enjoy their time indoors as well.
How
to arrive
We
take the national road N-340 between Tarifa and Algeciras. At the
90.5 kilometer of the road (a place known as “Mirador del
Estrecho”, 8 Kilometers from Tarifa) we take a way (CA-2215) at the
front of “El mirador” (at right if we come from Algeciras, at
left if we come from Tarifa). We find “El chaparro” houses at 3.9
Kilometer from the beginning of the way CA-2215.
